Placing traditional and contemporary textiles side by side, ‘Colour and Texture’ showcases the spirit of Japanese textiles. From fibrous tangles of jute to nuanced indigo hues, this exhibition evokes sensual responses from tactile things - featuring items such as sculptural works, wall pieces, fashion, and jewellery.

Masuda Gallery will be presenting this pop-up exhibition at Barometer Gallery from October 26th – November 25th. We hope you can join us on Wednesday, October 25th for the opening from 5:00 pm.

This exhibition features my new collection of khadi. A handwoven fabric made from handspun yarns.

Barometer's annual end-of-year show based on a colour theme. Red and blue are the colours of 2017 - together with all the possibilities these two colours bring - separately and mixed together. Red and blue realized in dyes and pigments, on paper and textiles, when fabricated into abstract images and designs, or observed in nature and seen in the world around us.

Barometer will be closed from Dec 24 and re-open on Jan 31
