Here and There

Here and There is a group exhibition by three professional textile artists – Julie Ryder, Sharon Peoples and Barbara Rogers – that responds to the concept of time and place – of being in one geographical location whilst making work about a distant other. For Ryder this was an Asialink residency in Malaysia; for Peoples, a pilgrimage to Santiago di Compostella; and for Rogers it was a trip to Japan to study shibori.

In this group exhibition these highly respected artists share their journeys through the language of textiles to communicate and articulate their personal experiences of displacement through their craft practices.
