An exhibition of photographs by Kurt Sorensen and Koji Makino that draws inspiration from the Illawarra region. Makino documents the community of Japanese-Australian surfers living in the Illawarra using portrait and landscape photography while Sorensen uses diary entries from a survivor of the 18th century shipwreck ‘Sydney Cove’ as inspiration for his wet plate collodion land and seascapes.
