Three artist/makers get together.
Jan Downes is a ceramic artist based in Sydney, Australia. Her delicate sculptures are made with Lumina porcelains with which she creates incredibly thin, translucent walls of clay to explore light and tone through this delicate and fragile material. Jan has been practicing and exhibiting locally and internationally for the past 30 years.
Barbara Rogers is a Sydney textile artist with over 40 years’ experience in textile design and fashion. Rogers now works primarily in shibori, an ancient Japanese resist dye technique from which she has developed her own unique methods. Barbara’s work has been shown in national and international exhibitions and publications
Catherine Rogers is a Sydney artist whose work encompasses a broad range of photographic practices, including conventional and non-conventional technologies and processes. She currently works with digital technologies to make her own prints from a range of photographic sources. Catherine has exhibited nationally and internationally over some 40 years.
